Stopped by the Lava Lands Visitor Center on our way home from Bend and took some quick drone footage of Lava Butte and the surrounding area.

Here’s Ivan longboarding around the block on a foggy day. We used the waypoint function in our Litchi drone app. This allows you to add waypoints to a map and essentially plot a course for the drone. You can enter settings for the mission and each waypoint (altitude, speed, heading, etc.). The first time around the block we set it for 10mph but the drone left Ivan in the dust. After slowing it to 6mph we captured the footage below. Music composed and performed by Ivan.

We got a new app that allows us to circle a subject and take video of that subject. You can also set up a path with multiple subjects for the drone to shoot as it flies by. Pretty cool! Although, I almost lost it at the end trying to bring her home!

We took our new DJI Phantom 3 SE to Lake Shastina today to give her a trial run. We’re still getting the feel for piloting this awesome new drone but this video will give you an idea of its capabilities. The music in the video was composed and recorded by Ivan!
